We access and slash powder stashes with the help of LEKI's Detect S Ski Poles. Durable aluminum won't weigh us down on the skintrack but is just what we need for dropping pillows and small cliffs, while the strap's quick-release safety system has us covered in case we bomb the landing. The compact, low-profile alpine baskets prevent sinking into soft snow, won't get hung up on branches when charging tree lines, and are easily swapped with the Big Mountain baskets (included) on especially deep days.
